No, I'm actually being total serious. And I never said I'm pro. OD doesn't have 2 base armor which gets melted by acid. He has 5 or something. If acid damage is SERIOUSLY that threathening even against a high armor hero, no hero can ever lane against an Alch. Also why wouldn't you be able to harrass him just because you have low range? Still he is a 1 armor hero and most people won't buy stout shields against on OD as they need a fast bottle to sustain their mana. Even if acid hurts you that hard he won't be able to CS if you deny properly. Taking damage doesn't mean shit if you control the runes properly.

How alchemist can stay outside of od range you must be delusional. Who cares about alchemist acid spray lvl 1 or 2 ?
Let's say we care about acid spray lvl 2, then od has still 3 lvl where alchemist won't hit anything. I've seen sniper stayed on acid spray and get last hit deny without taking care of it. Even if acid spray is threatening it will push the lane and od will have easy last hits under the tower.
Alchemist won't farm as easily a bottle or a soul ring pretty simple.

Let me help you with this OD vs Alchemist.
First, they are total different hero. Alchemist will push the lanes and get runes with acid spray while you need to last hit under tower and bottle crow.
Second, you mention it is hard to last hit under tower. Hit once melee creep, tower hit 3times, and finally you hit 1 time again. (For your dps lower than 65). Range creep is the same but tower hit only 2 times.
As OD, always use 2nd skill wisely to take out opponent's mana, let him miss last hittiing and experience denied.
As OD opponent, always play wisely too, because OD 2nd skill cast range is not big, you can avoid his 2nd skill with some skills, RMB OD 2nd skills STACK, if you let him get 4 times imprisment for no reason, ready to be surprised by his Ultimate.
Whatever, you guys can't be helped.
Just continue to run around claiming OD was OP without having any clue how to play against him/with him, etc.

If you go for soul ring, you have very good regen, because soul ring is an excellent regen item.
