Its just inviting boosting services for calibration games, At one point in my life it took me 5 months of non stop playing to get from 4600 - 5k. As in a minimum of 5 hours a day of non stop grind, to enable people to have such a massive swing in mmr is simply absurd...
It only fuels the already tilted cancer fests that exists within pub games, all of my 10 calibration games were hard, because everyone was so uptight at the thought of losing so much. The pressure just doesnt make it fun.
In the first 30 hours since recalibration, the matchmaker was overly sensitive on wins and losses and it resulted in players calibrating with bigger gains and losses than intended. We are processing all matches again and will be correcting the rank gains and losses throughout the day. Medals will be appear as undefined for a bit during this process.
fucking whiners on reddit ruined it.... like 60% of the dipshits in 2k-4k lost 1k mmr BECAUSE THE DIDNT BELONG THERE.
so many little dipshits who have perfect behavior score managed to get 1k mmr higher than they deserve, look at their accounts, every game they are 4-9.....
This huge swing was great, it pushed smurfs up and the majority of the vast retards downward where they belong.
Rip my calibration mmr just dropped by 500 , I’m at 3.7 k now , the thing is they made me calibrate vs 4K people and I was wining so if they had kept me in 3k I would have won more games
whats the point , if the system matchmaking is correct that those win\loss points can be even higher actually, since everyone will go to where they belong again, unles your acc buyer or some shit no other reason to whine about loosing mmr in recalibration.
it was actually the perfect thing to make matchmaking more balanced, since there are a lot of players overthere who dont desrve the mmr they currently have, since they used to be 4.5 once upon a time , than they stop play dota, commeback again after 2-3 months playing 3-4games in a week and they completely suck and ruin ranked games performing like 1k dogs. same thing can also happen from people who get better in between 6 months and they would get that + 800-1k mmr eventually .
the only thing they could have done to make it more accurate would have been to make it 20 games of recalibration, so people dont whine about the bad luck of a small simple sieze
Old Badge/MMR : Ancient 1/3.974
New Badge/MMR : Legend 5/4075
6/4 WWWWLLWWLL.
Seems fair for me +100. Even i thought i would reach at least Ancient 3 coz always paired by Ancient 3++ team T_T.
i thought it was a good thing that ppl's mmr changes more. shake things up. what else is the point of recalibration?
Just to hinder boosters, with system like this people will have to pay boost twice per year and Valve hopes they will tire and give up. Also since your medal doesnt drop during the season if you droped significantly to give you new appropriate one, thats it really.
50 seems more fair for sure. Though I was rather hopeful originally it would stay 200. I rarely play solo but I'm 3.2k I would have liked it to end up closer to 4k to be even with my party. I'm predicting I will be around 3.6 after all this though which I still can't complain I suppose. I don't really expect my party to move. All my friends are all lower than me and I just carry them to victory. So will be getting matched vs low opponents or people will stomp me when they have better players in higher mmr.
Before Calibration 3200 mmr Legend 3
After Calibration 3700 mmr Legend 2
8 W - 2 Lose
I think this is my peak performance, the last game i lost it cause it's getting really tough with better enemy, overall i'm happy with my new mmr now i can play PUBG in peace
after the "fix", i literally got the same mmr i was with 5-5 score. its back to +-25 again. idk why there are seasons either, basically a dog and pony show to get players to play once in a while

@cookie i thought it was a bug . ok thank you.
@lord_cactus if you care about your medal, you should play party mmr first then. but if you play your solo games you ll calibrate what your solo medal is. After your party mmr calibrated ur solo medal will be up to party medal, so it wont matter what u start first. u get ur highest medal at the end.

AHAHA.
That's fucking golden. I'm not envy, I just think that winning 10 games in a row and gaining 1100 MMR is literally retarded.
The differece between 4k and 4300 is actually big. The difference between 3200 and 4300? It's huge.
EDIT:
Seems like you aren't 3.2k afterall. So all good. System actually placed you where you belong.
I mean The system is kinda weird.

Thank you valve high mmr games were a complete disaster.
first time they made a real recalibration they retreat again. why in hell make the recalibration at all than?
Rip my calibration mmr just dropped by 500 , I’m at 3.7 k now , the thing is they made me calibrate vs 4K people and I was wining so if they had kept me in 3k I would have won more games
I like it when the system is brutal. but sissies are probably crying all over and threatening to quit the game. meh

New mmr 5447 (Divine 3)
7W - 3L
Expected more but its fine. :)
Something is strange here, I just won a game and lost 400 mmr. Then got demoted from Archon 4 to Archon 2. Anyone else got something similar?
No you're not demoted. The ranks have changed.
5.5 Divine 5 pre calibration
5.5 Divine 2 post calibration
No one's getting demoted they have just stretched the ranks, give it time to settle.
they recalibrated the system because it was was giving or taking more than it was supposed to. All your seeing is the drop from the recalibration.
Before Calibration 3200 mmr Legend 3
After Calibration 3700 mmr Legend 2

i mean you can see my ancient 5 with rank 1.9k picture there
I have one question. My group mmr is way higher than my solo mmr. Should i play the group games first or does it not matter?
@cookie i thought it was a bug . ok thank you.
@lord_cactus if you care about your medal, you should play party mmr first then. but if you play your solo games you ll calibrate what your solo medal is. After your party mmr calibrated ur solo medal will be up to party medal, so it wont matter what u start first. u get ur highest medal at the end.
