Based on the explanation of 5k mmr ppl it's because he is 3k and can't make the right mental decisions in game for the better item.

Definitely disagree with the linkens choice. Let's objectively look at all the abilities that you could've reflected: wraith king stun, Sven stun, reaper scythe, level 5 dagon,
rubick lift and -damage chain nuke, cold snap, Invoker euls and orchid.

The enemy team had no quick easy way of popping aghs without severely putting themselves in danger except maybe rubick's nuke. This plus the fact that it's on a lower cooldown and a cheaper item definitely over compensates for the 20 damage loss compared to linkens, especially in the late game.
