proper supporting is likely just too hard for 3k mmr, you know. you can't improve at something you hardly know how to do in the first place. like, you are definitely doing the wrong stuff when you support, just like me.
and your statement is not true even, gh is 300 mmr below miracle and he does play pos 5 at times.
core role is just too important at times, you don't pretty much immediately lose a game if your position 5 gets picked off without buyback.
Everytime i play support i feel like im doing nothing all game. I just win by warding stacking camps and creating space until our carries 1 hit everybody. yeah i win games by supporting but i think my mechanical skills (which i want to improve) is really not improving. i think if i wanna improve at the game i should play more carry or mid heroes?
THERE ARE MORE TO SUPPORTING THAN THIS...
Dude you hardly play any support that means you have very less experience as a support. And you die a lot I mean way too much as a support. And believe me supporting is not just buying wards . 1 thing I would like to point out that might help don't reveal yourself in the lane during mid game they will always pick you first. And you buy awful lot of Midas as a support and very less wards as a support. No use of smoke and 6 sentry in 30 mins game against 2 invisible heroes . Goodluck winning that game
Don't play support until you are actually with good players. Bad players don't know how to benefit from a support. You are essentially wasting your time playing in an enviroment where supports aren't used correctly in the game.
If you don't want to play carry then you should do a roaming position 4 ganker.
Play aggressive supports if u want to feel more impact. Supports with shitty move speed and rAnge u have to be really good with positioning and when to go in.
Or supports with big ultimates.
Play lion and get blink. Then learn how to go on aggressively and use defensive items to outplay carries who try to go on you. If u still feel supports don't do anything then you're just playing the hero wrong.
Supporting is easy as shit in 2k games since it's incredibly easy to zone out offlaners if not outright kill them during the laning stage. If you just plop down a lane ward in front of their tower, and just wrap around and attack move, most offlaners at that MMR won't know what to do.
If you don't want to play carry then you should do a roaming position 4 ganker.
Don't play support
Pos 4 is not support confirmed!!!! Me mid pudge roam lvl 6 ty
Fix = Supporting in low mmr inflates your mmr for doing something quarter properly
imo support role is harder than pos 1 and 2 it needs communication, coordination, timing, map awareness, high apm, decision making idk but there's more
I main position 2 and 5. These 2 roles are the hardest personally. Position 2 is harder in the early to mid game. Position 5 is the hardest late game.
How is pod 5 hardest late game. you do nothing but buying wards and stay safe to land your abilities in a teamfight.
early game you have to do a lot
Don't play support until you are actually with good players
Then you be a shit suport with good players and lose games because you can't support for shit. Very bad advice.
You need to watch videos on how to support and get shit done.
Imo in most pub games especially at low mmr there is no need for a ture position 5 support, your better of playing more roaming style or a greedy support.
Keep in mind you need to know how much greed you can get away with and what items to buy. Ie if you agh over blink on sk is not the best way to spend your greed.
Watch videos, play support because if you don't you never learn that aspect of the game.
How is pod 5 hardest late game. you do nothing but buying wards and stay safe to land your abilities in a teamfight.
early game you must do greatly
By hardest, I mean harder than position 2. Supports are strong early and middle game but weak late game. Late game is harder because it is much easier to die as position 5, and the team fights are more intense. The support still does everything it does early and middle game in the late game but monitoring lanes. Laning as a position 5 can be very easy depending on the lane, and watching other lanes just requires good awareness and decent decision making. Position 2 always has the harder laning phase and must make the most plays throughout the game.

It's hard to be useful as a pos 5 in late game. Doesn't mean it's hArder for the pos 5 late game unless u have some game winning ult.
The hardest part of support is what u do in early game which is when you're the strongest and can do the most. So of course it's "easier" cuz u can technically get more done. But that's precisely why it's so hard to do right. You need to know how to maximise your impact.
Still useful, imagine a disruptor catching 3 heroes with ss(aghanims), in the late game or a crucial relocate from io or a nether swap from vs etc.
Pro pos 5s are in a team for their raw mechanical skill, and if they managed to get 5k mmr as a support its already amazing since everyone wants carry but plays like crap especially in SEA !!!!!!
since everyone wants carry but plays like crap especially in SEA
please stop perpetuating this myth
when you think about it every pro team's pos 5 is the lowest mmr in the group just sayin
They're also the captain and drafter so mabye their got more on their minds then a high mmr.
Abyss watcher....
CAN U STOP CALLING ULTIMATES "SS".....WHAT DOES THAT EVEN STAND FOR..... SUPER SKILL
Seeing as disruptor was clearly the main focus of the point and his ultimate was mentioned it seems reasonable to assume that in this instance ss refers to static storm and not super skill.
When i was a kid i used to call ultimates' "ss" but not i only call Sun strike, static storm, storm spirit ss
think of supports are multiplers and cores are base stats. If you are a good support ur multiplier will be like x5. if you are a bad support your multipler could be .8 or 1. Now lets look at cores they could be 0 or 1000. This means a bad player who is a 200 score core will do just as well as a 1000 score player if his supports is .8 or 1 and the 200 score player's support is x5.
You get better at the game by practicing it, what you practice doesn't matter
as long as it produces results.
in 1k or 2k supports basically play like underfarmed cores, ull find ur shadow shamans rushing aghs refresher, and in general not rlly "supporting" not that I know what supporting is.
I do know supporting isn't auto attacking the enemy ranged creep over and over then randomly casting spells at the enemy offlane.
eh I think it wud be better to play core, advance in dota, actually understand the game on a basic level, then play support. or maybe I'm just dogshit
But it's true that at really Low mmr it's kind of pointless to be a support or pos 5 and be underfarmed because that doesn't actually make your cores more farmed like in higher mmr
in low mmr, u just pick bounty hunter and track everybody
0lh still same farm like pos 2 or 3
dont know how to play defensive supp tho
this is how u supp in ns :

You can try your goddamn best every game as a support but the flow of the game still depends on your core players, which is why supporting is so underrated since most players want to be the star or the game.
