You win as AM, when your team wins you the game. Period.
Usually AMs win, when there is a duo of supports running around the whole map and shitting on every lane of the enemy.
Supports, mid and offlane usually have to rape the whole map, while the Anticreep gets his items.
He got items, because his team dominated? He's highly likely to win.
He didn't get items, because his team's brain damaged? He's highly likely to lose.
That blinking macho ain't a Slark/Sven/Troll/Jug/Luna/whatever, who all can make an actual impact in the game.
tl;dr
I don't like having Antimage on my team.
yea you may be right. but this game in particular, you have to watch it to understand how he wins the game and put aside your prejudice
what usually happens is your team gets raped while AM tries to farm up while providing little contribution to the early and mid game and you lose the game

yeah thats why u go vlads maelsrtom FIGHTING BUILD
@Tutz only at low mmr where players 1st pick am then struggle to get a 20mins bf in a free farm lane.

Yea because usually he gets countered by not only 5, but 9 people
lmao @pyontan mentioned the fighting build thing, I got the message, don't do it, beating a dead horse there. xD
Absolute free lane battle fury should around 13 mins, yeah. If you're pro you can get it earlier from efficiently rotating between jungle and lane, but let's be real who here is efficient enough, better off staying in lane.
Lmao there is no way you can get min 13 BF treads PMS without rotating to jungle
12 is probably on absurdly free enviroment with maximum efficiency but min 13 is usually gg already

Yes every single one of them I last picked anti-mage against no counters, counters all of them, farm easily with a free lane, and supports kicking the offlaner out of the lane !!!!!
Miracle got stopmed this game if u didnt watch it from the start :) Juggernaut was throwing and afk farming wrong items. U cant learn shit from this game.
u win game as am by preventing enemy from pushing, is it that hard to understand? it's like naga
AM creates 5x the space he took after he gets BF and Manta. Almost no supports and half the cores can't deal with AM with Manta, at best they will run away low. Lanes constantly pushed. Towers and raxes at permanent threat. Team cannot fight without losing an objective. If they refuse to fight, AM will get a big item every 5 minutes while his own team will also farm due to AM forcing multy hero rotations to defend.
But the hero has amazing fail/throw potential. Fail games as AM = LP.

Me too. Most AM play are rude and love to blame his team. Just like this game:
https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/3290198489
Our AM has a 16mins tread, 23mins fury? That's so slow. He never help his team, let his lane push the tower with no contest, and feeds early game. We always go "4v5" to give space to our AM.
Luckily I was good, after all that time he catches us the farm. And he carried us to victory.
There's a lot you can learn from watching the game. I didn't really focus on what the other team was doing cuz I was looking at his perspective. The enemy team was doing really well. Well if i recall they got 2 lanes of rax wiped really early.
A lot of small decisions he made I didn't think much about but they added up. A lot of close calls and important decisions that maybe a lesser player would not have made that basically kept the game on the edge and brought it back.
He had good manta and bf timing despite a lot of pressure early and was already prepared to go 3rd item bkb and just in time to win a fight. You can see how he decides to fight or farm (cutting waves keeping farm up even though the game looks like it's over to get important item timing) and the line was really really thin.
Well the game was already over. This is just an example of how you win incredibly difficult games as an am. He made a lot of crucial and important decisions that a lot of lower mmr players would not have made.
It's nothing special obviously. Just a lot of small decisions that turns a lost game. If it were something spectacular like a 5 man manavoid rampage stomp at 20 min the title of this thread would be very different
Im biased but if you think AM games are solely won by his teammates you are very wrong. I've won many games I'm certain other players would have lost and I've even lost a few that better players probably would have won.
imo, for the am haters who want to like having an am on their team should look for high mmr/pro games where am's team wins although having a lower team kill score
most ppl just hate am cause when the team's wiped there's nothing to do but look at the one guy alive, being am and i can imagine there'd be frustration esp when they've only been dying with no kills
perfect example would be burning's recent performance in kiev major
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvDYEfhiRGM&t=538s
og stomped ig up to a score of 29-7 cause .. "4v5" but burnin remains top net worth throughout and eventually wins game
^ my bad, up to a score of 27 - 9 **** where the game ended as 29 - 24. COME ON, YOU GOTTA LOVE A GOOD AM
when you're that guy that's 0-7 and hating on the am, just know the am appreciates retard magnets
Am in the right hands is a monster. Facless isnt a top team and yet they ban antimage, so black doesnt get it. Same for B-God. Black isnt the best carry out there by no means, but he knows how to hit creeps.
Best Antimages, hands down:
Burning
Black
Matumabman
Watched blacks stream some time ago and he made this list. He excluded miracle and rtz, and I agree with that.
