Drow strat back in the meta? in General Discussion

Drow ranger is now sitting at pretty much 54% winrate on 5k bracket which is really high.

    420

Mainly because she is only situationally picked at higher mmr. I have 70%+ win rate with heros I pick situationally.

well i think drow is more a situatinal pick. Teams with much initiate can fck her game

Drow is in a good spot outside the meta. I prefer it this way more old school and not when she was just spammed and every game is deathball.

She not meta, but a good situational pick.

Had a 5k player last pick her in one of my Veno games and it went way better than I thought it would.

I watch a lot of high MMR streams and when I see Drow, usually what happens is that she has a warlock support, there's a heavy building hitter mid (sometimes lina or troll) and offlane can be whatever the draft needs (stuff like beastmaster, but even omni at times).

And at about the 18th minute mark, they take the first rax if successful, and sometimes just outright end the game, if not, they can still win though, drow strat is nowhere near as "all in" as it used to be.

If the offlaner is zoned well enough, T1 falls with the first catapult (5min) and the T2 with the second one (10 min) and at this point drow just rotates other lanes to take outer towers along with golems/fiery soul stacks/inner beast/whatever.

I have been watching dota streaming for about 2 and half years and I have never seen deathball done so effortlessly, though that might be my limited experience.

You didn't watch any TI4 games then?

Early mek building tank hero (Razor being the most popular but mek Viper was also pretty common). Grab some other tower destroying heroes like DP, Shadow Shaman, Leshrac, Furion etc. Group up as soon as soon as mek was available and push a tower. Repeat over and over until you have won.

The final game of TI4 was incredibly disappointing because Newbee worked out how to beat the deathball and so Vici gged out at like 15 minutes when it became clear they couldn't win. It was doubly disappointing given Newbee 3-1ed them compared to the 3-2 Alliance won and how close the last game of TI3 was.

Pros started picking her so the more committed players in 5k realized that the hero is still quite good.
                    Same for Huskar/Void.

It's like there's no certain meta this patch, just bunch of certain ded heroes.

Drow is great, I just cant play her. But when she is in my team, I keep winning. :D 67% together, 11:1 now.

                          Drow strat strong af

                          white boy summer

eg won cause they outdrafted secret. not the firs team to outdraft secret tho, dunno what's wrong with puppey. first game they focused so much around puck, second game they focused so much around drow. their carry player is also dogshit, i don't remember any memorable moments from him. picking pa just to build magic resist on her lul, if u want an anti-drow hero that doesnt get shitfucked by literally every hero then void/jugg is a pick for you. i also didn't see a reason not to pull out a stronger mid like lina/ta since they know eg has lastpick

                              Huskar still good?
