Just did the same thing, I agree they need to move it further apart

valve being cheap at fitting everything in screen instead they made them close to each other.

I would argue, if you want to really punish someone who ruins your games, commend them, don't report them.
This will only make them think they're playing really well and its their team's fault they lost. Its what scrubs think. They display their profile with 500+ commends and think thats what makes them good.
I've made the mistake of commending instead of reporting too, but eventually decided its the best way to punish those shits.

The best arguement made by diox so far i fully agree with this but i generally dont report ppl in my solo q because i treat them as bot
