cause 5 percent of a 300 spell is like 15 extra dmg. plus the magic resistance. so its worthless
have you experienced a teamfight so close that you managed to escape with a sliver of health like 50hp or something? yea thats waht gonna happen when the enemy choose something else instead of the spell amp talent ..
lol no. but to zeus, tinker, sky, yea spell amp is considerable (im not sure if every one of them has spell amp tho)
They're great if you have either low cooldown or DoT spells since they add up much more than you think
spell amp is boss on Jakiro
I didnt pick it the first few times. Tried it once and it made a huge difference clearing waves, damaging people and taking towers.
Atos is also absurd on him. Better than euls imho
It's pretty significant for as far as I know as it applies to items as well, like maelstrom and stuff. Hell ember spirits new build is based on it.
i always pick health on sf though, unless im getting an early aghs idk
btw spell amp is amazing on pure damage spells like sun strike or sonic wave
if it works on mana burn, then im totally picking that when im playing nyx against od or silencer or invoker.
When Aether Lens was out, with 8% spell amp everyone buys it on Zeus and was considered broken. Now we have ember with 15% spell amp talent (triple or double to others), I'm pretty sure it's overpowered too
It's good on those heroes who depends on spell damage heavily to function, it won't be just 15-30 damage for them to cast the whole skillset
@Hopeless
I beg to differ, Atos root is great but the lvl15 +125 Cast range talent is too much another Aether Lens and you're gonna exceed your vision range, you gotta fly a long time to catch up. Atos isn't reliable as it's projectile, with Euls we can ensure a 100% stun with ice path on heroes like Storm.
People like to snipe down Jakiro too so spinning in the air for 2.5 second for your team to rescue you can be game changing.
^^Ember broken af confirmed
whoa wait does blademail's reflected damage gets amplified too!?!?!?
whoa wait does blademail's reflected damage gets amplified too!?!?!?
iff damage is magical it will be amplified
Some of them are like 4% and not even worth considering, some of them are like 15%... sounds pretty decent to me. It's hard to say where the cutoff point of good vs. bad is on this one, especially when it depends on how much damage you're actually doing. But if you have an AOE nuke that just barely doesn't kill a creep wave, ticking up the spell damage might speed up your farm quite a bit. Magnus is a good example of this. You can compensate for the loss of 25 attack speed even if you want to be attacking a lot, since you'll be spending less time in one spot killing waves.
spell dmg != magical damage
dazzle poison touch, shadow wave and death prophet exorcism are examples of physical damage spells
faceless void bash is an example of magical damage added to physical attack, so it doesn't get amplified
@light & magic
yes blade mail damage is amplfied regardless of type.
SF's 6% allows him to last hit range creeps with a single raze after a certain point.

I always feel that 5-10% spell amp barely does anything in the game, am I wrong or does it ever really end up making a difference? Early on you aren't likely to deal that much damage even with the bonus % damage, and lategame it's likely completely irrelevant if people have already built to counter spell damage in any way.
