It's just 20 games. Not to mention your first like 150 are pub matches anyways nothing matters until you calibrate.

its a dota game... not a chat room thats what i mean.. u can still play the game while muted etc. so this temporary limitation

Other than smurfs I think this ruins the game for new players and will push many of them away. 20 games is not just a couple hours, you have to invest a large amount of time for 20 games, and even more to play ranked. Feelsbad

^Maybe valve just wanna let Dota die, so they can invest in some new games,but it doesn't make much sense, unless valve is losing money from Dota, which is unlikely.

tried to make new acc and those 20games was the worst thing i have gone thro oh boy all those mid pickers, i even got draft with techies spammer who came to my mid and wont even move wish lead to me being little on farm, sky standing still xp sucking, 3 heroes on mid all of that, ALL OF THAT and u cant say a single world to be honest that 20game mute is way to bad move from valve wish ruin experience for all new players out there, as playing on new account you'd have little knowledge and from small check while loading u could easy tell wish one on the enemy is actualy also smurf using new acc this way u could warn ur team to play safe vs him/her...
dota is a 5v5 game that need all 5 players to communicate (communication is the secret to win) and there u go valve mute u for 20game wish is for new players it would take between 35-50minut to finish a match and oh boy that's way way to long....

a) new players have more than enough to be struggling with rather than typing or talking whilst playing. they don't need you screaming at them.

b) you can type on the minimap anyway

c) anything that reduces the level of smurfs is a good thing.

Just afk co-bot games, there problem solved. Doesn't affect anything and counts for exp.
