I won 9/10 and got 4k, 300 lower than my actual mmr. Just look at it as a fun challenge to compare with friends, a chance to learn new heroes in a competitive environment,...

This compendium is bullshit. I wish I could return it. Won 9 out the 10 calibrating games, almost all with kda>5-6 and gpm/exp>500-600 and got exactly my current MMR LOL. Not to mention the announcer and music pack that suck ass, the ridiculous immortals and stuff, but that's another story.

look at latest week ranked games he played - 2/3 wins, not 43% win rate at all, even though you should still wn more games to increase the calibration mmr dude

It should' ve been working like the regular 10match calibration system or close to a system like that.

@TripleSteal- if I'm able to win 9 out of 10 games, stomping almost all of them, it only shows that maybe I should be placed at a higher MMR. Sometimes I play with a guy that is 1k MMR above me and I'm the one carrying his ass lol
I'm no pro or anything similar for sure, I suck at farming for example, but if winning was so easy, with great stats and stuff, then why give me the exact same MMR. It makes no sense.

Calibration is only supposed to give you a general range. MMR is calculated after calibration when you play more games. If a 2k player gets a lucky streak where he happens to win a few games valve should not put him in 4k just because a streak occurred within those 10 matches

If you calibrate low it should be easy for you to win games to get to your 'true MMR'

@King of Low Prio not 4k, but maybe 3k or something. Then if it was just luck the player will inevitably drop to his real MMR anyway. But he should be calibrated to a higher MMR in my opinion, otherwise the new calibrating system becomes pointless. It's like "win as much as you want, you're gonna get your current MMR anyway".

It would be easy if I didn't throw so many games 'cause of my zero mindset HAHAHAHAH

I doubt If valve has that complex system for every single hero/role you play.
If they did there wouldn't be spam zeus get 4k+ mmr in the past to begin with I have high kda xpm/gpm damage/tower damage and I should get a decent mmr but I won't because this international ranked is a joke.
I would get really decent mmr If I had these performances in a new account but since I abandoned 3matches and lost shit load of matches got low mmr in my account valve doesn't care about my performances I will stay in the same shithole

I'm 4.3k MMR at the moment (main support) and after 7 wins 3 lose I calibrated at 4.1k. One of my friends is 6.4k and he won all 10 games, calibrated 4.4k

It's for people who don't play ranked cus let's say you ranked 2 years ago and have been playing normal matchmaking an improved a lot you will recalibrated and obv get higher mmr. If you have you have been playing ranked for two years since calibrating you will have a terribly outdated hidden mmr so when you rek noobs it's cus that was you two years ago.

And then there's me who calibrated 2 years ago, played like 5 ranked games and afterwards only played normal matchmaking with a party, never alone. So both my hidden solo mmr and actual mmr remained shit while only my hidden party mmr raised so i recalibrated at 2.9k solo. Feelsbadman

It at best is a 200 MMR boost. U will not double ur mmr and be 3k

It should've been a second chance to get a decent mmr on your main account and prevent smurfs at the same time but valve indirectly made it clear that If you want a high or a decent mmr you need to make a new account by changing the 50Trophy level requirement to 30matches

Except valve goes by ur ip so even after 30 matches u will still only get games in ur old mmr so again there is no recalibration

What if you play from a different ip?
At least first 30 games get vhs and get back to your old ip seems logical to me
