Slark cant' toe to toe vs true pure DPS carries like Sven, but he is very flexible during clash than other carries.

Yeah, he's true weakness is invoker. But PL and SF also punish him. It depends in the player though.

He is given a lot of free farm time when our team is being raped by puck and yet he can't even do a shit in late game where I make a comeback.

I think that's the problem, every game will have an invoker or od, and maybe I'm wrong but also feel zeus and lc shit all over him too. He's very good in certain situations but those situations almost never happen. I think I'm done picking him.

Honestly he's fine against those heroes if you just farm instead of constantly fighting. Learn good farming patterns and stop fighting constantly.

Im not sure if Slark can dark pact away amplify damage, but even if he could, i'd think as long as slardar can get amplify damage on him, combined with some other lockdown followup, would either kill him quicker or at least prevent him from doing his thing in team fights and solo pick offs.

Also slardar is a good chaser, so maybe that weighs in his favour in the matchup?

Slardar has 54% win rate against Slark this month, so maybe that makes him what, a half-decent Slark counterpick? I dont know, there's probably other factors responsible for that matchup's win rate too, it's not like this is a 1v1 match.

Im thinking some mobile orchid carrier like invoker or prophet which can not only take away his abilities to get out of shit, but also jump him before he has time to react (pre-bkb of course).

Orchid is such a waste of gold. Good situation is probably teams without lockdown period cus they'll never kill you.

Slark is one of the best carries in pubs lol

when i play slark i pick him when theres at least 1 hero who will feed me early like :
rhasta, cm, lion, mirana, apparition, venge etc.
and hes good against spec

if theres at least 1 hero that you can constantly kill then the game is winnable

What are you talking about, the hero is absolute insanity in pubs. He loses to VERY few heroes late game, he's a true carry, and can beat almost anyone with enough stacks, but that's always not gonna happen of course.

Also, Slardar in no way is a counter to Slark, Dark pact removes amplify damage, it also gives him the chance to escape a Slardar bash, and once Slark gets a basher, it's fair game, or should I say good game for Slardar, the essence shift just makes it worse for him too.

I also heard that Spectre's Spectral Dagger no longer registers Slark as visible during his ult anymore (Spring cleaning update) so that just made Slark abit better against Spectre now. So if he daggers him, and slark leaves a trail, if he's not actually in vision, he'll still get move speed and regeneration now.

I dunno, people say Slark isn't good vs Spectre, but honestly, he's my first insta pick choice if they use Spectre, and I have success. But I only fuck around in party ranked now, don't really care anymore. lol

Slark needs to snowball a bit to get started after that tho he's really hard to stop and in pubs he will feed off your dumb out of position supports alot
