its the same for me. Some days i get like 80% dire games and feel punished by volvo.
Dire 1,276 - 48.90%
Radiant 1,121 - 53.70%
88% winrate on radiant. 45% on dire. wtf is going on here guys? is it really that much easier to play radiant?
Radiant > Dire. It's quite commonly confirmed. There are tons of threads telling you the same.
There has been notably higher winrate on Dire for pro games awhile back, don't know if its still higher right now.
Radiant has a much easier jungle and lane terrain but Dire makes up for it with double stacking and Roshan. Most people don't use Roshan very well in pub games.
i think the type of heroes u play matter as well? seems like heroes that do roshan a lot benefit from dire (troll warlord winrate on dire much higher than radiant), but heroes that benefit from rotating between jungle and ancients benefit from radiant (templar assassin)
I play a lot of offlane so I think that's why my radiant % is higher. Just easier offlane setup including the camp you can pull.
I have a higher Dire Winrate.
290 Matches, 50.34% winrate Radiant
547 Matches, 57.77% winrate Dire
I suspect the reason is because I play at a level where counterwards and smoke usage is rare. Because Radiant's jungle is less spread out, it is also much easier to ward/invade/gank. Once T1 bot tower is lost on Radiant and the jungle has been invaded, only 2 jungle camps are safe. For Dire, once T1 top tower is lost, usually 3 jungle camps are still safe. Since few people at my level use smoke, Dire can more easily counter Radiant's Roshan attempts for free teamwipes. Furthermore, Dire's T2 mid is far closer to Dire jungle than Radiant's T2 mid, meaning Dire has an easier time outflanking Radiant's attempts to invade their deepest jungle camps.
