clearly skipping vlads is working out for you /s

by your logic no one should get any boots besides boots of travel because all other boots are a waste of an item slot later, and only get late game items because all early game items are a waste of an item slot later.

vlads may slow down your manta by 2-3 mins, but the next item after manta is probably gonna be just as fast without vlads (so with vlads you've got an extra 2k item and extra levels), and then your next big item after that, such as butterfly, heart, abyssal are gonna be 5-6+ minutes faster compared to skipping vlads.

I am not saying vlads is never worth it. You may want to consider skipping it though if your needed in team fights asap and really need to tank up against burst. dumping 2k gold into vlads isnt really worth it all the time when heart does a better job of keeping you alive in team fights.

Every hero needs to be built differently depending on the game. For AM it starts from the laning phase. If you face a heavy nuking lane e.g lich, you'll need a lot of regen, else you start with poor man shield + tango. Then, in pubs, it's better to always get power treads before battlefury so you can zone out the offlane by yourself and fight in case your support leaves you alone for too long.

Once you have battlefury, you go vlad if you're not losing too badly or manta if you are. Reason is good players will keep you shut down so a faster manta will help to survive.

I try to avoid heart as much as I can since it doesn't give you any offensive abilities. But, agaisnt nuker that goes through bkb like lina I get it. And basically the rest you can figure out
