there are very few spots in the game that you can actually see the full 1800 range. only hills and very open spaces (like midlane) allow this. so it doesnt really matter much for roaming.
plus it was already much harder roam during the day because all your abilities are worse. Plus when roaming you usually roam on a target that you already have vision of.
