General DiscussionMatchmaking is entirely broken???

The level 6 account was probably doing ok for someone that just started, either way you're playing normal games and it seems most of your games are Normal Skilled. Also it's just one game out of how many you've had? You're bound to see a few here or there especially in normal mm + normal skilled.

Edit: Also just realized you're playing in South Africa so the "Hidden MMR" discrepancy in normal games are likely huge.

Lvl of account is unrelated to game skill. matchmaking tries to have equal skilled teams.

I will tell you what is broken. Stuck in normal with over 1K games played

No dude you play on South Africa Server. it's one of the smallest servers and difference in skill in a team can be quite high
You will probably find the other team had a similar mixture of noobs + higher skilled person

This one guy with 2500 wins got matched with a guy who was having his first game, it happens sometimes in SA servers, gotta live with it or bear with the super high pings in EU

Again I think it's due to playing on such a small server that you can't really judge normal/high skill

Even in US you're going to get huge discrepancies in MM.

^ pls dont take cali games into account. System tries to place u somewhere, where u belong. It doesnt put u in the tops or the bottoms but somewhere in the middel. U even stomped them though it was ur first game. Which means that the system got very valuable information for ur nmm rank. Did u mb select that u played dota before?

No, just that i wasn't new to MOBAs. I was in a party with my roomate though, hes 5.1 and 900 games.
