Storm is very good at farming the jungle, and so skilling Q and E allow him to farm the jungle much faster. If storm has lots of disables on his team, he doesnt even need a single value point in W so he can maximize his jungle farm. If storm does not have much lockdown on his team, you may see him getting a value point or two into W, but most of the time teams will have lockdown for the storm. Also, the slow from overload is pretty nice to keep people in place so they cant run away.

You get more dmg this way & can farm faster. It depends a lot on draft.

That's a bad build though, 2-0-4-1 is way more than enough to farm fast, and you can have 3 lvl of vortex by lvl 10, which is the level you usually need to make your move succed.

Ofc, IF your team have a lot of disable, you can go for a 4-0-4-1 build, but you'll never solo kill before level 12 or 13, which is a shame on storm (even for one that just farm)

I think if you have the space to make use of 4-0-4-1 build you didn't even need to pick storm in the first place

matrice - that's bullshit. There is no problem with killing people with 4-0-4-1 on Storm. It all depends on the line-up & how good are your jumps & positioning.

You have to fine severaly brain damaged people to kill them solo with a 4-0-4-1
Sure you make damage, but not that much if they run.

If you consider the fact that you are supposed to farm with that build, so you will not full mana, mb just 70%, how do you kill the reckless enemy farming near you ?

Basically, you have to initiate a jump for further than 900 range (night)
When you have less than 1000 mana (storm 10 + orchid + tread int + null doesn't have it btw) that's a third of your mana
your down to ~40%, a remnant each jump (~200 range) will cost you an additional 12% mana by that time, you'll definitly not kill the target.
If only your remnant could hit, but well, it will not since you have no vortex.

Some pros got few kills with it and everyone started copying.

it depends on how out of position the enemy team/heros are and how fast they can escape (and who has lower ms than storm?). also if u rush bloodstone its nice to have vortex as disable while u dont have orchid. I would skill Vortex situational from 1 to up to 3 times before lvl 10.
