Erm, it sounds like older drivers... If you installed drivers off of a disk, they are out of date... got to http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk and use the automatically detect and update drivers (the grey "Graphics Drivers" buton) if you don't know your graphics card...
I use the nVidia Control Panel that automatically notifies me when there's a new driver available. I'll update that and see if I've missed an update.

If it isn't a driver problem, the only other thing I'd feel safe telling you to try is re-installing the dx redist package.
Go to the Dota 2 Redist folder (if steam and dota are installed in the default directory it'll be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\dota 2 beta\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010)
And run the DXSETUP.exe file... let it install (it overwrites existing files so you shouldn't really need to worry about clean install)
If that shit doesn't work you'll prolly need to talk to Customer support.
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS AND A COUPLE MORE:
-Mirana arrow: it's almost imposible to see, it appears on mid wherever you cast the spell, the arrow will appear on mid.
-Some hits on ranged heros are missed, like 10% of them are not showd
-Puck orb, like 20% of times you can't see the trajectory, just when he cast the spell
-Batrider: it disapper from map, its like invisible he run under the ground
-Vengefull stun like 20% times you can't see that
A large etcetera, but my laptop sucks

Hey guys,
Recently I got a new graphics card but I notice that in some games I don't see particular animations such as:
- Towers projectile - I can see my/creeps HP going down but no projectile is displayed on the screen
- Last hit gold - I've tested this a couple of times and I get the last hit gold but it's not appearing on the screen
- Some skills - I've noticed that so far the animation for PA's Dagger and Lion's Ult were not displayed once or twice
Have anyone of you had such issues, any idea how to fix it? My graphics card is nVidia
