Frankly the entire event seems pointless.
I dont think it will be like last years YearBeast event where players could make a lot of money on the market grinding everything out.
Unless there are unique item sets to the rewards maybe?
Everyone learn their lesson about the couriers, and it is painfully obvious this time that these couriers, even the golden ones, wont be worth shit. They can literally be purchased for like 20 bucks + arcana.

and the Wraith Knight was actually awesome.
And less we not forget: Servers are still really laggy. Got irritated on a Brewmaster game because Gus-Gus is too fucking lazy to fix the servers. Going back to my break til I see a fix for this!
This 10 minute of "Beast Brawl" seems so retarded... if you aren't constantly playing dota, you'll never know when it will be up. Why don't they just show a 24hr timer and just show how many hrs its left from starting?

I'm a bit... shocked that Valve put such a big pay2win aspect into a PvP game mode, where the team that bought more Ability Points seems to be the likely winner. And only the brawl winners get event items. I'm quite disappointed.
The game mode itself sounds like fun, though, as I'm not that big of a fan of hours of PvE farming.
Dota is free, all heroes are free, you can't pay to have an advantage over other players. It's normal that valves wants to make some money from events. I don't see why this is wrong.
Except that you do get an advantage over other players if you buy Ability Points and compete in the All Pick Year Beast Brawl.

They should have made Year of the Beast a custom mode, not integrated into normal games. And now with the Crystal Maiden Arcana, pubs are just going to die even faster with teammates going CM and feeding.
Juggernaut is still ridiculous, even though the win rate is going down, we need more nerfs to him. Ever since the PA arcana came out and the Dota 2 Asian Championships, this game has really gone downhill. The servers are terrible still, and the 6.83 patch was a major punch to the game.
Valve needs to not only make money, but improve the fucking quality of this game. Hell, when Runescape dropped the wilderness and the trade limit, they brought it back, and when they added new combat mechanics, they gave the old version to us for optional play. So my question is, why the fuck not listen to the fucking people, Valve?

Is the new bloom related to the compendium at all? What's the point of a compendium? I know you get some free items it shows at certain levels but is that it?
Probably not. I was expecting a much different appeal to the New Bloom, but NOOOOOOO, we gotta deal with CM every game now just like in 6.82 with PA!

There is no event today, it probably starts AFTER midnight. ANd it will be couple of times trough day which is fine cause you win sets in every game. If you win, ofc, prizes will be better. I think they did good job about that.
Will the event itself be fun, we need to see.

They didn't cancel those events for New Bloom, they cancelled them for Source 2.

-The Year Beast Brawl is only available to join during 10-minute periods, which will occur randomly a few times each day. A countdown timer will appear an hour before the start of each Brawl, allowing you time to assemble your friends and prepare.
