so don't trigger it? its not like the game ends so clearly you can still keep the game going
Because the system figures that the players can't finish the game properly. What do you want, waiting for your creeps to push the base while you die under towers? Why doesn't it disconnect altogether? I don't know. There is probably some technical explanation for that.

I then went to russia server for the first time and played without issue. (I'd say Russian>USW players, I pretty much barely won)

On a related note, any USE/USW player looking for easy MMR, just pick your favourite 1v9 hero and queue "spanish" only, it's like a -500MMR checkbox on your whole game.
I don't know, usually the lag clears up right away (<30 seconds) but server still says safe to leave but yesterday we got multiple smaller spikes for about 2-3 mins total and game still counted. It's weird.
nobody unpauses above 1k mmr, because 1k mmr dont know how to unpause. Even at 6k mmr ppl unpause.

players are smart enough to pause if the game is lagging for everyone, not to mention this ends up skewing stats way more than if the opposite were the case
