its really good against the typical riki heros (heros like storm, puck, who rely on skills and are super squishy)

best part is he doesnt need much to get kills with the new riki with blink charges giving guaranteed backstab procs

It's good. Most of my Wins as Rikimaru was using offlane Riki.

Offlane riki works great in a dual lane. Just dominated with ogre and riki vs a PA carry. Riki didn't need much last hits cus we secured so many kills.

Solo riki idk. He kinda needs farm to be effective. Not a lot, but enough to kill supports. Plus vs a trilane you'll get zoned out.

solo offlane. you don't need CS, just leech XP. He is a lot better with these changes. Why? You couldn't really offlane before, if you were safelane, people were already scared and getting ready for you, that means dust, sentries and gems early. Same thing with a Nyx mid. But now that you can offlane him easily, people start treating you like a #4-5 (because you don't contest most lanes), meaning that you have a window in which you can easily start picking up kills and having a huge impact on the game. Its not that your opponents won't buy anti-invis stuff, its that they will only start buying enough of it when its already too late. And even if they do buy that stuff earlier, you are forcing their supports to use a LOT of gold on a #3.

Also your damage output with a few blinks once you have treads up is crazy

It dipend on the safe lane carry.
If he can zone you alone (troll / gyro / medusa etc...) then riki offlane suck ball.
If it's something weak, like spectre / luna / void then riki is strong -you'll be moving before void is 6 anyway-
