begging is not scamming bro
but what are they even begging? some cosmetics that cost few cents/few dollars? it's better profit begging/picking up aluminium cans from garbage
if you were trading recently on, let's say, d2 lounge, you may get these phishing requests. or if you frequent page 1 games.
either way, check steam profile and look if you have friends in common then just decline.
i think a week ago i got friend requests for a couple of days in a row, and all of them were bots sending me steamcornmunity/steacommunitu/steamcomwunity/stemcommunity links LOL.
i dont even have some valueable items tho, but after i blocked a couple the requests stopped.
I get a shit ton myself. Recently had to private my profile due to "Racist/Offensive spam" on my page/stuff

So recently it seems like I'm under some sort of scam list or something. I'm getting friends request from players with like 0 wins and under 300 games played everyday. I added 2 of 5 and they all start begging or trade request etc... Just wondering if that's the reason why so many dota profiles are private now.
