you cant. all you can do is crush your mid opponent. also you can hit sunstrikes, if you can do that w/o setup, gd for you (im not talkibng about those sunstrikes on ppl running away with low hp)

Also you should never get crushed in mid with Invoker
Only reason that you could find yourself underleveled is if enemy supports pressure you 24/7
Or if you play against Razor/Viper/Riki

probably people are complaining because you're not ganking

Yeah, I have 200 matches. I don't see myself making a big impact. I can honestly say, I don't really lose my mid play a lot. Only rare cases unless as per told, Viper etc. Pubs that is what they say, mid hero needs to gank.

I read the guide Grimorium made and I watch pro plays(Dendi, ddz etc), they tend to stay mid almost all the time till level 7 or sometimes just stay in the lane all the way, and when you have necro, you start split pushing etc.

It just that, sometimes I feel the game is lost because I didn't gank early game. But again, I'm playing Exort build which can be said(ganking) using Sunstrikes.

I remember Singsing used to build medallion in pub games and go around killing people with cold snap/forge spirits ... you could try that out if you want.

Cold Snap/Forge Spirit is your best bet at that point. You can also setup a Tornado/Emp if you're q/w instead of q/e.

Though for the record, pubs are still playing the meta from 2-3 years ago(2-1-2 or 1-1-3) where the mid was a ganker instead of a farmer. The pressure is more on your roaming support(which doesn't seem to exist in pubs unless you do it yourself) to do things early game. A roaming skywrath or omni knight(etc) can make level 1 ganks happen anywhere. Hell I've even done it with a doom >.> (though I wasn't exactly a support that game...so we'll just call them roamers :D )

Medallion is good, i've seen cook used it a couple of times
but since he farmed so fast, he eventually sold it for bigger item -.-
