its normal, you usually get better with time...just dont ever think you're 4k again in the next 2 months or so because you clearly arent. it may seem so but there's a sea amount of difference between what you can see and what 4k players can see even though it might not appear so, seemingly playing at equal level. the difference is a true 4k can maintain his 4k and would be able to rise in from 2k fast enough while a 2k could pass for a 4k in a couple of games but wouldnt be able to maintain 4k in the long run, making it impossible to rise from 2k until he gets to around 4k level :). so you're a 2k which is ok too... you're NEW hence newbee noob and all that shit. it requires time and dedication, not dunning kruger to advance and get better and the sooner you get it the faster
Dude if you play some ranked you can get up to 4k easily, just spam tinker or slark and its fine
I am at 3,4k now but i am winning a lot of solo ranked games ( thanks tinker ) so i tihnk i can get to 4k pretty quickly now
@Allison
My unranked games tend to be FAR better than my ranked game at the minute, unless I play unranked All Pick.
Probably because I've not played many ranked game and (hopefully) gradually got better unranked.
cant believe i posted honestly... this guy is clearly trolling but the farming of people in his games rly suck xDDDD so mby 4k at most from farming skills.... on the other hand the item clearly shows some understandment (everyone with bkb's and shit) so idk.... why even waste our time rly
Guys look at his team's rating, and then think again when you say he is trolling.
And btw, to say something about mmr, i had a guy on my friend list that had 4k games and 2700 rating.
it might be true, hard to say since his ranked games rarely have brackets shown, but the ones that did were from like a month ago and they were normal bracket, so im guessing he's near the normal/high "divide" so to speak - which is why DB is uncertain of the bracket he's in.
@raspharus
those are the stats of OP's matches
OP has played 609 matches of ranked mm and 591 of unranked, and those are his winrates in them.

this is what happens when someone just under 4k plays with people just under 2.5k
what do u mean I am trolling guys? ask ESP WINK.... I am actually 2600 MMR... to be precise.. 2599 MMR
@ Vroksnak王 never got into games this deep... all i ever played was starcraft 1 :P and that was it
They think you are trolling because you have generally good KDAs and winrates for someone with 2600 MMR. Who knows? Maybe you have the knowledge and skills necessary for climbing in MMR, but are missing in the decision making department. I'd have to watch a game to be sure...or ask Wink :P
unranked is a pretty shitty pool right now, i just played with a 3k friend (while my unranked mmr is probably around 4700 on my other account) and it seemed like my entire team was 3500-4000 while the other team was 4000-4500 just judging by how well they farm/move around the map
pretty awful if u ask me, though i'm sure at 2600 you'd have enough people in that rating range
there is nothing wrong with choosing not to play ranked, but you'll generally play with/against people who will try harder to win, and if you want to improve without asking someone to coach you or playing on a team, then ranked MM is the best means to do so. focus on ur own mistakes, try not to rage at allies (this is the hardest part, actually), and you will eventually move up
most 4k mmr players are complete trash so don't worry about it, you seem like someone who can raise his rating quickly if you just stick to playing ur best and most impactful heroes over and over. i've been playing dota on and off since late 2008 and only recently acquired 5k rating, so there is nothing wrong with having 2.6k while being relatively new. i'm sure there are some people who have been playing just as long as i have and are still stuck with a trash 3k/low 4k rating, but ur probably not retarded so don't worry about it
He's 2.6k because he doesnt play competitive so he has nowhere to learn, it's pretty obvious that he has potential to be really good. he played his first disruptor game today and made plays my 3k friends would never make.
in that case he should go play ranked mm, add the people who he thinks are good, and then go from there. i'd also advise inhouse leagues though those usually have a minimum mmr requirement
i don't think playing competitive is a prerequisite or even beneficial to getting better at pubs, i know several of my friends who have been playing competitive since god knows when (before i even started dota, this would be the era of death prophet/necrolyte "teamfight" meta like back in 2007) and they have slightly lower rating than i do now (high 4k), probably because i've just been fiending mm games over and over for the past year while they're stuck with their old ways of thinking/playing (5 stacking in unranked and stomping people worse than them instead of actually having to face challenging players)
yes solo mm can and will be unbearable sometimes with beyond awful allies, but eventually you'll reap the benefits if u have the right attitude. think of it as the high intensity training of dota
gl and remember to have fun
Why you guys dont believe he is 2.6k.
He is pretty much 100% game in normal bracket.

Some people improve faster than others. For people that dont (i assume you) , if you havent played dota 1, you wont break 3k MMR with just merely 1k games. Can you imagine how many games veterans have played over 10 years since dota was made? I would say an average pro played around 7k++ games.
i've probably played close to 10,000 games dota 1 + 2 combined
longtime dota veterans like fear/arteezy probably closer to 20,000 (i remember arteezy was really awful in dota 1, i was even slightly better than him back then, now i'm a scrub compared to him lol)

He probably isn't learning because his retarded friends are dragging him down. I literally had to argue with Nyx to not buy a Battlefury and to just get a Blink and Urn, but he refused and built a linkens and BoT instead.
I had to fight for 20 minutes with Shadow Demon about carrying TP, which he refused to do and it literally cost us top barracks. He eventually bought a TP when we couldnt even leave our base.
I told Tusk not to get a Battlefury and to get Deso/MKB instead, but he also didn't listen. I said "No wonder you guys are 1k mmr, you refuse to improve" and they responded with "I don't care about MMR, you think you're some sort of reborn jesus trying to tell us how to play"...
He definitely should do inhouses with a community league if he wants to improve, clearly finding random idiots won't help.
add me, ill give it a shot. I have never coached SON before, i only played with him a few games and talked about his item choices and decision making.
*considers charging people to coach them*
LOL WISP IS FAMOUS!
can i coach someone too? :3 I'll sing for u the entire game if u charge me $3 a game :P
<3 <3 <3
I have just over a thousand games and have 3200 solo MMR. Never played any mobas before. I'm an awful player.
unranked has less pressure to succeed, I can see why you feel it is a better experience, no one is serious about winning unranked half the time
Guys i need serious help
All my good heroes/pubstomp heroes that i know how to play are mid heroes, but what do i do when someone takes my mid ? usually i just lose
I need a good pubstomp that doesnt need mid lane
@dorkly
Offlane: Clock / Mirana
Jungle: NP / Doom
Carry: FV / Luna

I feel sad whenever I see people with 4K MMR.. what is the difference in gameplay between those games of 2600 MMR and 4~5k MMR?
I usually never play ranked... is this a bad thing? because whenever I play normal, the gameplay if generally better than solo ranked....
