Nope. None of the these tests were done killing the target. I did however try killing the target and it showed up in death recap as pure damage.

Its pure dmg. And if i remember correcly it always have been pure dmg.
@Blunt I suggest you read my post again. In DotA it was HP Removal because it could hit when people were in tornado but in Dota 2 that is not the case as far as I can see yet the wiki says everywhere that it's hp removal.
They changed it so people couldn't be hit during tornado quite a while ago. It felt too easy before the change so I'm happy with this. The wiki could just be outdated.

Hi. I'm an experienced Invoker player at about 3,5k MMR. Reading a little on the dota 2 wiki I found that it everywhere says that EMP has the damage type HP Removal if the unit will not be killed by it, yet I know it doesnt go through BKB. So I tested.
Spiked Carapace reflects it - not hp removal.
BKB blocks it - not hp removal.
It cancels blink dagger - not hp removal.
It cancels salve - not hp removal.
Am I missing something or is this incorrect information on the wiki?
