Best fucking roamer ( no doubt ) and in top 5 suport. As carry , that ulti nerf strucked him so much, so he went down the drain.
alchemist as support happens in cm while you pick alch as support. you effectively ban alchemist for the other team as carry.
he is a great carry but only ok support. so don't pick support alch in all pick.

i think support alch doesnt work as well in random pubs because of lack of communication and execution. it isnt a bad thing to play at all but the amount of times ive played/ seen support alchs who try roaming at level 1-3 they fail most the time because theyre doing it to early with no other killing power, and sometimes end up dying. i played a nightstalker game the other day and alch was always trying to gank me mid and they also had a pudge. the ganks failed, alchemist died once or twice, and ended up being level 5 12 minutes into the game and from there it was easy mode because he had no where to farm due to lack of map control on behalf of their team.
i guess it goes the same for all roaming heroes early in pubs though. if youre successful in getting kills and dont get to far behind in levels you can always be useful but if it goes the other way the game gets out of your control.
i think, unless you know you can get a gauranteed kill its not worth the xp loss trying to roam, and most the time in pubs with micless scrubs or people unable to communicate and execute appropriately its not worth the time roaming
His carry is too nerfed, even pros can't carry with him properly anymore.
You need to buy a vitality booster to compensate for the hp nerf, and a platemail for armor.
Armlet is a really good item on him, and nobody builds it, why?
Because the old version alchemist doesn't build them maybe
and because of that they are lacking of new ideas to solve the new alchemist problem
they need some professional player to think for them before they copy them
and yet it's very rare to see pro player pick alche as a carry in tournament.
Yeah i love armlet on alch. A fun build i like to do if you can get it quick enough is armlet MoM and SnY, unless they have alot of burst and only if you can beat them mid game, but yeah its always good for a bit of a laugh.
It's the best pick-up for alchemist now
Armlet gives you armor, damage, attack speed and HP for 2600g
(the 35 hp drain is nothing while using ult)
Treads + Medallion + Armlet (maybe even a dagger) and you're good.
1450 + 1075 + 2600 (+2150)
7k for a carry or solo mid alch is really cheap.

Played a solo top alchemist (Mirana was roaming, doom jungle, luna went to the offlane for whatever reason)
I died a few times to save sniper, but still got the 2nd highest hero damage.

How have you guys been playing alchemist since, 6.80, sup/early roam or still carry?
i think alch mid vs other melee heroes gives him an advantage vs most but i dont think its viable vs most ranged heroes, and i think blink is a great item regardless of position. thoughts? how do you build him item and skillwise now?
