4k mmr is suppose to be like top 5% or some shit which i find hard to believe seeing as all my real life friends r 4k+ and we all suck and the 10 games dont matter too much ur MMR is allready calibrated before hand

I saw sheever dota2 account is high level,more matches than me, and get 3700 only. I just have 40 game wins(level 13) and I get 4000, wtf?

sadly though since ur overrated you're gonna lose a ton more games until u reach your ideal mmr which i guess is close to 3,8k (i adjusted it after checking your profile ;D)

No one knows. It's pretty safe to assume that the calibration games didn't mean much, and your MMR was pretty much predetermined. Probably just play the 10 games to double check the system.

Average MMR is how much? What is your MMR?

The MMR percentiles Volvo gave us were for unranked games, not ranked games.
5% 1100
10% 1500
25% 2000
50% 2250
75% 2731
90% 3200
95% 3900
99% 4100

The reason 4100 is the 99th percentile was because it is unranked and therefore open to anyone to play (don't need to be level 13). So it includes all the people who try Dota and leave after a few games. In ranked play however, the halfway mark would be more like 2.7k-3k mmr, as opposed to 2250 in unranked. But until Volvo releases official mmr stats, we cannot know where any of us stand (percentile wise) in ranked MM.

That graph is nearly a year old. It's totally outdated and incorrect at this point.

Yes the graph is outdated because obviously more than 50% people win games now hence MMR goes up. John logics.

It's either win or lose, so how can be more than 50%? It should be 50-50.

The calibration matches start with your rating at whatever your unranked is and each match is worth double the mmr of normal ranked matches.

Depending on who you listen to 4k is either really good, or you just barely escaped trench tier /shrug
