Its a pretty sick buff for tinker too because usually you blink more than once in a fight, lets say that you blinked 3 times in a fight: 225 mana, now its 0 + 0 + 0 :D
I never really liked blink as an item. I'll throw some of my retarded thought process behind it.
Tempo mids IE : Sf/TA don't really need it. if you just make carry items you can hit that snowball faster. I feel that blink can slow down this process or even stop it. You opt for initiation, instead of like a bkb first for survival. While it does let you sneak up on people, I feel semi-immunity/escape via tp is better if not all goes well.
No stats? I feel that positioning and force staff is nearly better in 95% of situations, etc, where as if you get hit you can't blink out, unless you have like adderall reaction timing to blink into trees or something.
I just think if you position well forcestaff is better, blink is for sloppy or cutesy play.
I agree there are a few heros that can use it core. I still try to value if the match will allow me to permit a forcestaff in stead however. I get slidestick on tide and a few others but usually on rubick I go blink when permitted.
