Western dota = Game of Throws
Don't give a shit about these teams other than Alliance. Heck even eastern qualifier teams will be better than the invited western teams.
Well, time to get an Alliance Pendant then.
I probably watched well over half of the 200 games between these teams. I think they are lot of fun to watch. Many of these teams are willing to try different heroes and take risks to try to beat teams that may have more talent than they do. I am really looking forward to the Qualifiers.
I don't know the eastern teams as well, mostly because their games were rather hard to get in English until just recently. But the finals of the Eastern qualifier should be very good as well, though I am a bit concerned the qualifier will not be nearly as competitive as the West overall. The best players in the east seem to be heavily concentrated in the best teams and it becomes to easy to know who will win a game.
Btw, I happened to watch a pub game of yours swiftending while looking for something else. You are one of the best pub players in the world, much better than Vaikiss. You are more talented than maybe half of current pro players. You should seriously consider trying to become a pro player if you have interest in it.
There is no reason to be jealous of other peoples success. Just go get your own. You play with Doomix, you must know some ppl.
@Vuk I think the really important changes in the west are the ones that shifted players on the TI3 invite teams.
Kuroky going to Navi both made Navi a lot more stable and left Mousesport much less consistent.
There is still some time to work and still some work to be done to get Navi to perfect their teamwork. But I think the new version of Navi will stand up better against the best teams. Meanwhile Mouz has been drifting around trying to figure out an new plan...Synderen fills Kouroky spot better than their previous tries. I hope he can break his curse of dissolving teams and it works out for them.
Alliance really is playing a lot better since they replaced EternalEnvy. I think having more than one person (Loda) trying to lead a team is problematic. The same thing happened when Loda was on Zenith.
I would prefer to see EternalEnvy's new team KP in the qualifier than ICCUP, AL, or even DD who really have no chance of advancing.
QPanda just added Select who is really an awesome micro player, but they don't have enough practice together yet. In another two months, maybe they could win a qualifier spot, but not this soon.
Empire adding LightofHeaven really takes them up to the TI3 direct invite level, but it just happened. Who knows if it will work out and fast enough to win the qualifier.
So its going to be EG that wins most likely. Maelk rotating to a coaching position is a very smart move for them. They will get more out of his experience this way since he can think about the game overall much more clearly instead of dealing with the minutia of his support role. Besides that Bamboe is actually better than Maelk anyway.
I think we will see Mouz or Empire playing for the wildcard spot.
@You_Got_Fukt, +537251983893, I just hate such ppl
As if winning only against lower (not low skilled) players is so much fun, I love competitive games, where thr game is rly close and small mistakes would decide the winner, not to go 20/1/10 every game, thats lame and boring

#7 ICCUP 2-3 vs TI3, 2-8 vs Qualifier
#8 AL 1-23 vs TI3, 6-17 vs Qualifier
As an externality of this exercise we also see the record of the western TI3 invited teams against the Qualifier teams is very strong.
Overall 142-62
Alliance 31-10
Liquid 21-7
Fnatic 29-12
Navi 22-9
Dignitas 17-10
VirtusPro 22-14
I do wonder why KP or 4FC were not given a chance rather than ICCUP or AL. QPAD also has a very limited track record, but they did so well in the few games they played. Even the games against the TI3 invited teams, though 1-5, they were close games that made the top teams earn the wins.
