It takes into account the mmr of players you have played with, so if you played with a bunch of 3-2k it means your hidden mmr (what's used to match you in unranked, and what's taken into account when calibrating) is around that. You can end lower than that, but not higher, so it's not that innacurate.
Haha okay guys then i guess i am calibrating 1k in my id, at least it is better than calibrating 2k because 2k sucka
But yes i played with my party of 2-3k as mentioned for about 20 games, others are solo does that affect my solo also??
TOTALLY accurate bro. My opendota was showing estimated 2578... so i decided to play the 10 calib to see if was right, and i just got archon 2 2585 mmr.
so if you want to calib at legend, only do that when your opendota shows 3000+ mmr.
cheers
Kaskade bro i check it almost after every game, i checked it after 7 recent games still the mmr soesnt even change by 1
Well dude i think that is because you still need to improve. As you may notice you are playing high skill games. when you go to ranked you will be thrown at normal skill. So you need to climb to VHS in these unranked and make your estimated higher by playing with higher mmr players. Make that solid with at least 50 games then go to ranked and get LEGEND [something]. This is very systematic everybody does it. If you look i was also playing few high skill games and decided to calibrate. Big mistake.
watch this dude https://www.dotabuff.com/players/869070031
he is just an example among the many.
Ohh thanks but i dont have a very few friend with VHS, yet they dont party with me because i am low level, i cna only party with legend 5 but when i play with him my skill becomes normal,, so you mean to say i need to improve to vhs and then only calibrate it??
Btw i have played 30 + games on hs and have 67% win rate how can i improve to vhs is it just by improving win rate or any tips please?
You can actually view your mmr in your profile, just click on "stats" and it's on the upper right corner.
Profile of dota 2 client??
Ya i know that but i havent calibrated yet so.. I am considering if the predicted mmr is accurate i will calibrate later
Cute muffin
Sure, i am not willing to calibrate roght after my 100 games.. I will calibrate only when i am sure to get a satisfactory mmr
No man i'm not saying you should party with VHS players. First rule never party in smurf. Play solo until you make yourself into VHS, then make it solid with 50 games and calibrate.
About improving for VHS, i observed a parttern: FARM As fack. I mean, get very high GPM XPM in 2 or 3 games (800+). as higher your efficiency is the best you are, for the game.
Kaskade bro thanks for the suggestion.. Now i need to pkay position 1 or 2 probably :-) ..
Thanks for the suggestion of not playing the party matches but i have already played more than 20 games..
Now will it work if i stoo playing party for about 50+ games
And kaskade bro i guess the opendota mmr predict is party based?
Because i played my last 20 games solo but nothing changed
But when i played 2 games with my party today it increased by 50
I can tell that is because you are still playing in the exactly same mmr, i mean approximately you know. But now, considering this guy who wrote above @Offlane or Feed. He played only high skills marjority of his games and got legend 2. Perhabs you don't actually need to go VHS. Maybe you can test it and see if works. You have solid high skill games, from now on stop playing party, if you want play in your main and leave this account for science. when you get to calib, go for it and see what you get. we are only few weeks from recalib anyway.
Listen, if you've ever played at least 1 ranked game on your account before this whole new medal system came out, your mmr is already decided, sorry to say. The estimated mmr, is used for pub games, you can be a 2k mmr player, but if you play with good players in pubs, the estimate will increase, this means absolutely nothing if you have an mmr already. In short, the estimated mmr will say be used, for newer accounts, if a new account has an estimate of 4k, its likely he will get the max calibration of 3.5k when he plays his ranked games.
To the moron that's telling him it's accurate
Stop
It literally can't be accurate because opendota no longer has access to anyone's MMR
I doubt that any dota website have access to the player’s mmr like dotabuff, except mmr rankings i think
my smurf estimated mmr is 3,3k . Then after calibrating in 10 games i got 3.5k , in my case i would say it's accurate

Hello guys,
When i log on to opendota.com my estimated mmr is 2613. Is my mmr actually along that range or not?
Can i rely on that estimated mmr or not?
