there's only 3 possible status in any given point in any matchup of any game, equal, advantaged, disadvantaged.
solo mid reaching lvl 6 ahead of the side lanes and getting a useful ult as advantage vs side lanes, even sf's ult, could mean day and night difference if rotated right to a side lane.
other people helping mid lane just help achieve this, lvl 6 or lvl 11, it's the same as not having 2 people at whichever lane(solo mid, solo off, solo safe), mid's just got the luxury of choosing and picking on the way to rune control
