I prefer tranquil on all position clock

clock needs batteries or solar or movement if kinetic. you can also use ankle clocks but won't show on your boots.

depends on how much u suffer on ur lane

I'm not a fan of tranquils because even if you regen HP you still run out of mana. I prefer treads because tread switching makes flare more spammable, or phase because the boost lets you run down heroes better. Arcanes are decent but they have a similar problem to tranqs: after a gank you're usually low on HP and mana so refilling one doesn't help much.

Definitely tranquils most of the time. Items like wand, and raindrop, should provide enough mana for you.

Or you could just buy urn, wand, etc

what does your team need?
no mana boots carrier? get one
dominating the offlane? get phase
finding yourself roaming more? tranqs
u pleb? brownboots and lace
against high magical dmg early on? get some raw hp from pt.
boots for clock is highly situational and versatile so you will have to cater it to what would suit your playstyle the most.

I don't go tranquils because I usually rush ring of health into force staff (so I get my regen anyway). so far only been going treads because I like to tank up, but I can see the benefit of phase boots. less for the damage and more for good position cogs.

don't have many "real" clock games (11), but I spam the shit out of him in overthrow, consider myself a better than average clock player in my 2k dumpster bracket.

probably bad in vhs, no doubt. but in the trench a fast roh/force is amazing. people don't zone/harass effectively so you can get away with more.

^the problem isn't that you can get away with the RoH, in fact, it's really good regen, the issue is that you often don't have boots in this case if you rush it fast enough, and you aren't buying items that help you rotate, chase people down and set up kills which is what clock is the best at doing.

Basically you're a useless high armor high HP hero who is really good at regeneration but cannot do literally anything else.

Some people even get lvl 1 boots to fuck with people, and roaming clocks in competitive sometimes do it too.
