I believe calibration has to do with your hidden mmr. KDA matters,but it mostly comes down to hidden mmr which can be determined by NM. And I dont know if this is true or not but rumors going around about smurf detection. Certain players tried to recalibrate in other accounts performed well but went to lower skill brackets. I've done INTL rank and didnt see much of a diff in my mmr. Either way if you really wanna climb mmr just try to improve your play fam. Good luck.
if you cant win against 1k players i have no idea why you would even want to calibrate at 3-4k. If you want to rly play at 4k i can lend u an account to show you that you belong there but there's honestly no point. You do not calibrate at 3-4k because you are not good at dota not much else to say really.

Lul what... Its not about kda its about your first match.... You must alwats stomp a game to get vhs. I see your match in ranked mode an im pretty sure you belong 1k-2k
This is a question about the system, about the code, not about where I belong. I play support and Valve has stated that the system does not work for supports. You have to play carry to rank high. Either way, I am only interested in the calibration algorithm.
i thought mmr calibration depends on hero dmg, that's what i heard from someone else
apparently spam zeus = higher mmr calibration
I have heard that too. So maybe the theory of high KDA is just the result of high hero damage.
if i were you, i would spam high dmg heroes (zeus, tinker etc) in the next few matches
see what the outcome is
According to my coach who's an 8K player,how well you perform in the first 10 matches(not calibration matches but NM) determines your qualification for mmr. Calibration is present simply for placement. And falcon if you want to play against 3-4k players,I can send you a friends request from my 4k account and we can play together.
also smurf detection is 100% a thing and having high hidden mmr will boost your calibration by a lot
So it seems re-calibration was a scam if it only ranks you on your hidden MMR. Anyone gain 3-4k from recalibration?
I just created this accnt. . still new though. . i cant rank yet. . but i dont get that hidden mmr thing. . but whqts weird im on very high skill and on my normal matches. . most of my enemies or teamates are 5.2k mmr or 4.8 4.9k does this means that when i do rank i will be on the 4k-5k mmr stats?

I went with the theory that high KDA is everything and averaged 7.17 KDA over 10 games. Highest was 24 and lowest was .9. Only the .9 was negative the other were all positive. Only won 2 out of the 10 but that is not suppose to matter according to most of the post I have read on how to do this. However I only placed at 1728 mmr so I feel that high kda is not everything. Other players that average 3-5 KDA have placed in the 3k to 4k mmr bracket so there must be more to it. If you have any advice for the next time I try this please leave a comment.
