There are many reasons:
1) Safer neutral camps in general, often on higher ground than their dire counterparts
2) Easier to go jungle in between creep waves if you're mid
3) If you're an offlaner you can actually pull for your needs
4) Radiant's side is actually more visually intuitive
5) Safer lanes, generally harder to gank
6) Offlaner has direct and generally very safe access to secret shop
After about 30-40 minutes, however, this advantage seems to dissipate, so it seems Radiant mostly has early/mid game advantage, while I am not sure it stands for late game too.

And its easier to defend as radiant due to that usual warding place on the hill jungle near tier 2 bot and mid

I feel comfortable as dire and have a higher winrate with it

Dire: 56.03%

thgis month i got 61% winrate on radiant and 44% winrate on dire nice

when you get 8 games in a row as dire you gotta wonder if you're in hidden pool or nah

And I have 55.8% on radiant and 44.15% on dire

most people have higher radiant winrate, adn the reason is neutral camps´location

guess i can play in both sides i have 52.09% dire and 52.93 radiant from 6.2k games :D
P.S: 3.5k games dire, 2,7k games radiant

radiant side = better players

if you have a winstreak that means you will be dire side player for a lose. im an account booster and i have tons of smurf accounts. after %80 win rate you will be always at dire side for win rate balance

because a lot of people used to play dota 1 and it is better to be in the same side with host (radiant side now).

idk for me maybe because i'm used to playin as radiant

or visually better like when you in radiant you will push/move up but in dire you will push down or going down

it felt like in radiant you moving forward but in dire you going backward.........XD

dire has a tiny "objective gaming" advantage (e. g. rosh, bot and top lane farm/xp, jungle, ancients). that though isnt used effectivly by most players.
radiant has other advantages (e. g. ez warding, mid lane).

Remember ti5 finals: EG picked 2 times sides over first pick and took Dire from CDEC, which was one (of many) factors why EG won ti5.

I play better on Dire side,
76.60% Dire
72.92% Radiant

I got higher winrate on Dire 68% while Radiant 60%

This account so far is my best smurf account. After 2 smurfs I calibrated just 3.5k MMR.

I feel better playing at radiant even though my dire winrate is better
